Strategy Development
Our Digital Media Strategy Lab enables your team to determine where digital media can best contribute to your company’s growth, profitability and competitive advantage. The results of this process are a comprehensive and co-designed digital media strategy and business case. We customize the Strategy Lab to fit your business’ needs, but this process typically involves 5 basic steps:

- Review your business definition
- List your top 3 business goals
- Conduct a situational assessment
- List external factors (digital or otherwise) affecting your business, your customers and your competition
- List internal factors (digital or otherwise) affecting your business, both from the perspective of the business as a whole and on a function-by-function basis
- Translate these factors into action items; what will you do to mitigate threats, overcome obstacles and capitalize on opportunities?
- Build a digital media implementation grid
- Review each action listed in step 3 and identify cases where a particular digital medium would help carry out a given action
- Create action/digital medium pairings
- Group pairings according to function or department and look for synergy between the digital media you’re selecting
- Prioritize pairings according to business goals
- Develop a digital media business case and implementation plan to include:
- Problems to be solved and opportunities to be realized
- Technologies to be implemented
- Requirements and responsibilities
- Projected costs and ROI
- Method for analysis and plan for adjustment (if needed)
Next, is to put the strategy into action. We can help out there as well; visit the Implementation page to learn more.
